Born in Albania on May 27, 1970, he began his artistic career while studying at the Classical High School. At the age of 14, he already participated in his first exhibition, receiving two awards (sculpture and oil on canvas). Although he won the competition to enter the School of Art in Tirana, he was disqualified for political reasons due to the communist period his native country was going through. After the fall of the Berlin Wall, like many of his compatriots, Agron Hoti in five days and amid numerous difficulties crossed the border into Greece and arrived in Athens in January 1992. In the Hellenic capital, the artist opened his first studio and for ten years worked on Byzantine sculptures and icons. In 2001 he crosses the Otranto Channel by clandestine speedboat and thus arrives in Italy. He immediately decided to sail up the Italian boot and Verona became his new home, where he still boasts his art studio and gallery in one of the most beautiful areas of the city of Verona. He established himself as an artist in Italy as well, exhibiting his work in Turin, Milan and Venice, also confirming himself internationally through exhibitions in New York, Paris, Shanghai, Casablanca and Tel Aviv. Agron Hoti is the only foreign artist with a work in the German Parliament.
