Emiliano Ponzi’s work is a fusion of realistic elements behaving in an unreal way. Hence, the title of the abstraction: the possibility that is not offered to us by the world but by its representation, that of subverting the natural and physical laws. A fully blossomed flower and a smaller one not yet fully bloomed, a vase, stems immersed in water and petals flowing in the air. A synthesis of life in its marvel of being born, growing, and evolving. One would expect to see petals attracted by gravity fall from the corolla on the surface instead of continuing to move. The intent is to make life circulate through the slow but continuous repeating motion. An infinite loop that, thanks to the sound design, gives the work a hypnotic feeling of ASMR.
