A new Caravaggio at Pinacoteca Ambrosiana
At the event on 3 April 2019 the digital edition (DAW® – Digital ArtWork) of the “Basket of Fruit” by Michelangelo Merisi da Caravaggio was presented to the public of collectors and art professionals at the Pinacoteca Ambrosiana in Milan. The digital edition (number 3 of the 9 works) will be on show for the public until 19 July 2019 while the original is on loan at Palazzo Reale in Milan. The initiative is promoted by the association SAVE THE ARTISTIC HERITAGE with the help of CINELLO,INTESA SANPAOLO,INTESA SANPAOLO INNOVATION CENTER and FRESCOBALDI. DAW® (Digital Art Work) is a digital multiple of a masterpiece of the history of art produced in limited series, authenticated, numbered, certified and protected by a patented digital encryption system. Each DAW® is created with the consent of the museum that owns the original artwork and the proceeds from its sale will be shared 50 % with the museum. SAVE THE ARTISTIC HERITAGE promotes and supports the Italian historical artistic heritage. The mission is to spread the study, education and knowledge of artistic heritage together with new digital technologies. The non-profit association organizes exhibitions, events, conferences, seminars, studies and manifestations with the aim of promoting our greatest wealth: the artistic heritage.
